Slowly spreads via rhizomes to make a dense ground cover.
This plant can be grown in the margins of bogs or stream sides in shallow standing water. As such it’s sometimes used for terrariums.
After many years thinning out the rhizomes keeps this plant looking fresh. These divisions are easily propagated into new plants in spring.
