Growing Notes

This agave is monocarpic, meaning that the head will grow larger and larger over time, building up energy, and then send off a spectacular flower and afterward decline and die. This agave has a thin ten foot flower spike that holds red wine colored flowers.

Special Interest

Agave toughness with a grassy look. Combines well with other grasses and contrasts nicely against chunkier agaves or other succulents.
