Growing Notes

Clumping type bamboo: non-invasive. For strongest growth and rich green color, feed every two months from March to September. In rich clay soils feed less. New shoots (culms) develop in the warm season, may pause through winter, then continue to branch and leaf out the following spring. Any damage from unusual winter cold will be covered up by the following fall.

Special Interest

Attractive, smooth powdery blue-green culms exposed on newer shoots are paired with delicate, lush, rich green foliage.
