info
Water this plant regularly, when the top inch or so of soil feels dry. If you establish this pattern over several years, then you can cut back to watering every week or so in dry weather. Use drippers, emitters, or a slow stream of water so that it doesn’t run off; allow the water to trickle all the way down through the deepest layers of soil. In a pot slowly water the entire surface until water comes out of the bottom of your pot.

Typically it is hard to overwater this plant during warm summer months.

Growing Notes

Requires support and won’t self attach and climb.
Unlike your typical star jasmine, whos aggressive unchecked growth is problematic in so many gardens, this ‘jasmine’ is slow growing and needs little maintenance.
This plant prefers medium light, but will tolerate full sun, if the lower part of the plant is shaded.
This plant will tolerate frost, but begrudgingly. It tends to look sickly with long cold winters, though it does bounce back with vigor in summer. Plant it in a sheltered warm spot in marine influence areas of California. It also does well indoors, and can be moved in where frosty winters are followed by hot summers.
