info
This plant tolerates drying out completely, and certainly won’t wilt or die, but prefers to be watered when the soil is mostly dry and this will give the fasted most vibrant growth. Typically this will be every one to two weeks depending on the location.

If this plant is pushed to totally dry out for extended period of time the older lower leaves will shrivel and eventually the older parts of stems will dry up. If this happens the tops of the stems can be rerooted fairly easily.

Growing Notes

Dappled pink variegation on new growth slowly fades to white and then green. As such a good pruning reinvigorates growth and thus more pink leaves.
Freezes to the ground and then rebounds when weather warms.
Appreciates afternoon sun in hotter interior areas of California.
