Growing Notes

This particular westringia looks best when allowed to grow in a natural airy shape. When it needs to be pruned for size, entire branches should be removed rather than shearing it. Badly pruned, it will turn into a blob in the garden.
Tolerates a range of soils, as long as drainage is reasonably good.

Special Interest

This plant is a hybrid between Westringia fruticosa, a coastal species, and Westringia eremicola, a more widespread species, with benefits of salt and heat tolerance from each parent.
