Growing Notes

Prune off flower spikes once they are finished blooming.
Yuccas grow from their crown. Gradually the oldest leaves will shrivel and either create a beard or shed cleanly. Don’t worry if the older leaves are browning, as this is the natural growth pattern of your yucca. This particular yucca holds its oldest leaves for a very long time but will develop a short trunk over time.
If decapitated, or the growth point is disturbed, this yucca will produce multiple new heads.

Special Interest

This cultivar was created by U.K. nurseryman Tim Crowther, who saw it growing as a spontaneous variegated pup on a non variegated Yucca gloriosa.
