Growing Notes

Can be one of the showiest of flowering plants for a dry border, or structural in company with grasses, shrubs, and other succulents. Quite nice in a large pot, too.
Rarely blooms in shadier spots.
Performs better in cooler coastal areas than parent species Yucca pallida.

Special Interest

Introduced by Tony Avent’s Plant Delights Nursery on its 25th anniversary.

Parent species Yucca filamentosa is native to coastal dunes from Virginia south to Florida and west to Texas. It also occurs farther inland to Nebraska, and has naturalized farther north into New England.

Introduced by Plant Delights Nursery and Juniper Level Botanic Garden.
